My Thoughts on Impression Vanity Mirrors!

Well, let me start off saying that everyone and their mom needs a good vanity mirror period.  My friend, Nick, and I were looking at products online like we always do when we chat online.  He was checking out Impressions Vanity and had ask me for my opinion on the mirrors.  He sent me a link to their website and we started checking out the website together.  The layout of the site was easy to look at the products they were offering at the time.

I started checking out the touchable mirrors they carry.  The mirror that caught my eyes the most was the Touch XL Dimmable LED Makeup Mirror with Detachable 5X small mirror.  These are the features for the mirror directly from the website:

• Just tap the touch-sensitive power switch on the mirror surface or hold down to adjust brightness!
• Flip power switch on the back to prevent accidentally turning lights on during travel or when in storage
• Mirror tilts 360º and swivels from 180º tall to wide for better mirror viewing angle

• Dimensions (mirror): approx. 7L x 9.75H inches

Based on the information on that mirror, I thought that would be the best mirror for what I need it for! Luckily, Nick just got a code from the company for him to give to his subscribers to use on the website.  The mirror original costed $59 dollars and $10 dollars in shipping.   I don't  remember what the taxes were at the time that I bought this item.  But with Nick's 10% off code, I paid less than $70 dollars in total.  I have compared this product to other mirrors on the market and for what this mirror does, it is the cheapest that I have found.  Most other mirrors I had found close to this item were $100 dollars and higher.  

The company ship out my order quickly and I had my new mirror within a week that I placed the order.  When I received my box which was undamaged, I unpacked it quickly.  I realized that they sent me the white mirror instead of the black one.  I was a bit confused and went to check my email receipt to check that maybe I accidently ordered the white instead somehow.  My receipt showed that I did ordered the black one but I decided not to return it because in the end, the white mirror looked good sitting on my black vanity table.  Plus, I had a feeling that it would take some time before I could get the one I actually wanted.  

The mirror looks so flawless and sleek once i put it on my vanity. I put in batteries to see how bright the lighting got on this mirror.   At first, I was trying to figure out how to make the lights go bright but I was not reading the piece of paper that came with the mirror which explains how to operate it.  After reading the instructions, I lightly hold the circle on the mirror with my finger, the mirror started to light up bright real fast!  I touch and held the circle again, the lights got dimmer.  After that excitement, I started to tilt and move the mirror part to see if I want it go up and down or side to side.  The mirror going side to side was the best option for me since I like to record videos of me doing my makeup.

I love the small mirror for the small details for my eyes and that it sticks to the mirror or my big vanity mirror I own. The whole mirror is lightweight, so traveling with this product will be easy!

Now, the only issue I have with this mirror is that it needs batteries and there is no cord for it so you can not put rechargeable batteries in it either that way.  This product would be great if it had a detachable cord with rechargeable batteries.   That way on the website, they can sell the cord and batteries separate and still make a lot of money that way.  I just do not like the idea of going through so much batteries because normally it takes me 30 minutes to do my makeup but when I am recording a makeup look, it can take up to an hour because I take my time and then I speed it up in my videos.  So, I would be burning through a lot of batteries that way.  My husband did a modification to the mirror where I don not have to use batteries in the mirror now and I am really happy with it that way.

So, in the end with the only thing being not having a cord option, this product has met all my needs for a light up mirror.  The shipping was really fact and customer service is great with this company.  I do plan on buying more products from this company such as the selfie ring light and one of the large vanity mirror with lights and the vanity table with it.   If anyone is looking for a great LED light up makeup mirror, Impressions Vanity Company is the place to get one from for sure!
